BASIC DUTIES:
1. Arrive 20 minutes early
2. Put hymn numbers up
3. Pass out bulletins and any other materials
4. Greet people and have visitors sign the guest book
5. Assist acolytes
6. Ring bell
7. Open Pastor room and turn on sound system; Check sound system and change if necessary
8. Take offering
9. Count and record the attendance (notebook in shelves)
10. Turn heat down in sanctuary (65) and the two electrical panels in narthex (60)
11. Usher communicants
12. Assist with needs as Pastor requests
13. Usher for all services during your scheduled time
14. Assist elderly or handicapped with how to use lift
15. Count offering money with financial secretary
16. Be sure all lights are turned off folliowing service
17. If conflict for the month, contact church secretary immediately

DUTIES:
1. Fill communion cups and bread plate for 1st and 3rd Sundays and special occasions.
2. Change Altar clothes as necessary for church seasons.
3. Change banners as required by church seasons.
4. Fill additional cups during communion if large attendance.
5. Replace candles as needed.
6. Advise Parish Secretary if wine or bread need to be replaced – let Chairman know – council buys wine.
7. Good Friday – all members of Altar Guild should assist with stripping of altar with assistance of ushers and acolytes.
8. Clean all cups, trays, etc. used, store in cabinet.
9. Make sure all doors and cabinets are locked as necessary.
